It’s Extreme-ly ADJUSTABLE
With the tap of a foot to one of the side slope adjustors, or Slope Block, you can incrementally adjust the pitch of the green to create the desired amount of uphill or downhill slope to the green. You can also manually manipulate the break, creating left-to-right and right-to-left breaking putts, as well as double-breaking putts. This is what makes the Extreme Green so extreme. For the money, no other putting green delivers as many different combinations of slope and break as the Extreme Green. There’s no better putting green for simulating and practicing the same types of putts you’ll face on the course.
Each Slope Block allows for eight adjustable settings, and 16 per aluminum segment. As you toe in the Slope Block, it incrementally raises the pitch of the green closest to you while lowering the opposite side an equal amount. How much depends on the width of the green, which comes in 4’, 6’ and 8’ sizes. On the 4’ Pro Extreme Green models, each increment is +0.55 degrees to the high side and -0.55° to the low side. Kick the Slope Block all the way in, and you create as much as +/- 4.4 degrees of pitch—a devilish left-to-right or right-to-left breaking putt.
One size up, the 6’ Pro Extreme Green can create +/- 2.9° of pitch while the larger 8’ surface can produce as much as +/- 2.2° of pitch. With the Extreme Green, hundreds of different combinations of break and slope are possible, and all you need is your foot!
It’s Extreme-ly VERSATILE
Unlike most other backyard putting greens and land greens, the Extreme Green can be taken down and reassembled quickly, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. It does not have to become a permanent fixture of your backyard, nor does it have to get snowed under in the winter time. You can disassemble each unit and store it away in as little as 20 minutes, and put it back together again in a half hour, quickly turning your recreational room, office, basement, man cave or garage into an indoor putting studio.
The Extreme Green comes in five different sizes—4’ x 12’, 4’ x 15’, 6’ x 12’, 6’ x 18’ and 8’ x 24’—although we can custom-build a unit (upon request) for those with certain size requirements. You can also adjust the length of your Extreme Green by removing one or more of the 6-inch-wide, interlocking aluminum segments.
For those who prefer the larger 6- or 8-foot units, a 4’ x 6’ adjustable chipping platform is also available for purchase, turning your Extreme Green into a realistic short-game chipping area. On the larger units, additional holes can also be cut to allow for multi-player use. Such versatility makes the Extreme Green a great option for event planners, golf teaching facilities, sports bars, entertainment centers, pool parties, luxury hotels, casinos and more.
It’s Extreme-ly DURABLE
The Extreme Green is built to perform like a true putting surface, and built to last. The sturdy base is made of custom-extruded aluminum, providing solid support to hold the weight of one or several golfers. The side slope adjustors, or Slope Block, and other plastic components are constructed of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), able to withstand constant pounding by your feet.
Each aluminum segment interlocks with the next via a center support flange, keeping all of the segments securely in place. The all-weather, multi-directional carpet is UV resistant and similar in speed to most high-end public courses, running between a 9 and 10 on the Stimpmeter. (We do have faster carpet available that runs about a 11 or 12 on the Stimpmeter for those seeking a slicker surface for tournament preparation.) The carpet is supported by a fiberglass-reinforced plastic underlayment panel, which helps smooth out the surface and make it roll as true as any professional putting green.
The Extreme Green performs best when placed on a smooth, solid surface, which is the only caveat to using it outdoors. Unlike many retail putting surfaces, there are no electronic parts, meaning your Extreme Green will not break down. When you factor this in along with the strong aluminum and plastic construction, you can expect your Extreme Green to last a bare minimum of 10 years—so long as you don’t back your truck up over it.
It’s Extreme-ly CUSTOMIZABLE
The Extreme Green comes in five different sizes—4’ x 12’, 4’ x 15’, 6’ x 12’, 6’ x 18’ and 8’ x 24’. Don’t see a size you like? Not to worry. We can customize one to fit your desired space, should you need a smaller width or length suitable for your spare bedroom, garage, office or pool deck. For bigger units, we even offer an adjustable chipping platform that quickly turns your Extreme Green into the ultimate short-game practice area.
Our customized options don’t stop there, however. If you’d like us to cut one or more additional holes into the carpet and aluminum surface—recommended for 6- and 8-foot wide surfaces only¬—we can do that, too. For those of you wanting to train on a faster putting carpet more akin to what you’d see under tournament conditions—i.e., 11 to 12 on the Stimpmeter—you can also purchase this speedier carpet separately or request it in lieu of the standard UV resistant, multi-directional carpet, which runs approximately 9 to 10 on the Stimpmeter (a device that measures how fast the green is).
The cost of a second putting carpet is $4.65 per square foot, plus tax and shipping.
